About us
Masjid Al-Mustafa is a mosque that provides prayer services, educational classes, and social activities for adults and children in Waterbury, Connecticut.
After 10 years of construction, Masjid Al-Mustafa officially opened its doors on May 19, 2017. The new building, which overlooks I-84 and is the largest mosque in Connecticut, has three floors. The main level contains a large prayer space for men and women as well as a gymnasium. The second floor has several classrooms for Sunday School courses and other educational purposes. The basement level is a community center and can accommodate events like dinners and fundraisers.
Masjid Al-Mustafa is owned by the Islamic American Society of Connecticut (IASC). IASC is a non-profit, non-political, educational, and charitable organization registered in the state of Connecticut since 2007. IASC is dedicated to the betterment of Muslims in the state of Connecticut in general and particularly the Greater Waterbury Area.
IASC is strongly committed to building bridges with members of other faiths and communities. IASC works to promote understanding and strong relations between Muslim and non-Muslim communities.
